Frequently Asked Questions

A Charter School is a publically funded independently run school. Each charter is unique and has greater flexibility in operations compared to traditional public schools. Charter schools offer choice for families looking for a school that will be a “right fit” for their child.

IAA is a middle and high school serving students grades 6-12.

We are a tuition free charter school.

School Districts within a 10 mile radius of the school provide transportation. Allentown, Bethlehem, Northampton, and Whitehall are just a few. In addition, we are offering bussing from Easton. This is a new option for Easton families starting for the 2018-2019 school year.

IAA does not require an audition or any specific background in the majors or electives we offer. Our goal is to provide a solid academic foundation, expose students to our areas of concentration (Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Journalism and Fashion Design), and explore other electives.

For the 2019-2020 academic year, we will be offering after-school clubs. Many of our students participate in sports with their home school districts. We have begun the application process to have a PIAA sports program. We are anticipating three official sports to begin in the fall of 2019-2020. Students may participate in sports with their home school districts.

Breakfast and lunch are provided, free of charge.
