A Charter School is a publically funded independently run school. Each charter is unique and has greater flexibility in operations compared to traditional public schools. Charter schools offer choice for families looking for a school that will be a “right fit” for their child.
IAA is a middle and high school serving students grades 6-12.
We are a tuition free charter school.
School Districts within a 10 mile radius of the school provide transportation. Allentown, Bethlehem, Northampton, and Whitehall are just a few. In addition, we are offering bussing from Easton. This is a new option for Easton families starting for the 2018-2019 school year.
IAA does not require an audition or any specific background in the majors or electives we offer. Our goal is to provide a solid academic foundation, expose students to our areas of concentration (Graphic Design, Culinary Arts, Journalism and Fashion Design), and explore other electives.
For the 2018-2019 academic year, we will be offering after-school clubs. Many of our students participate in sports with their home school districts. The school has begun the application process to have a PIAA sports program. We are anticipating three official sports to begin in the fall of 2019-2020. Students may participate in sports with their home school districts.
Breakfast and lunch are provided, free of charge.
Yes. The updated dress code for 2018-2019 states:
- All students wear Khaki pants or shorts
- Middle School students wear Navy Polos
- High School students wear Grey Polos

School opens at 7:30am and dismissal is at 3:15pm.
We announce our own school closings and delays. You will see Innovative Arts Academy on WFMZ TV and we send out alerts with our one call now system. In addition, the announcement will be on Facebook and our website.
